Advancing the Mission of the St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center

A Message from the Director of Advancement

Hello! My name is Lauren Foster and I am grateful to be back at the St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center as Director of Advancement.  My connection to the Newman Center began during my time as a student at ISU and working in the Advancement Office my senior semester at the then St. Robert Bellarmine Newman Center before graduating in 2008.  I had no idea then how deeply this community would shape my life.

Although I am a cradle Catholic, it was through my Newman Center experience that I came to know more deeply the truth, beauty, and fullness of our Catholic faith. The relationships I formed and the witness of people who loved Christ helped open my heart to the Father’s love. That experience is why I believe so deeply in the mission of Newman Centers and the unique opportunity we have to walk with students during such a formative time in their lives.

As Director of Advancement, I hope to build meaningful relationships, share the story of what God is doing through the Newman Center, and invite others to share in this life-changing mission. Through the generosity and partnership of our alumni, families, friends, and supporters, we can help ensure that students at ISU, IWU, and HCC continue to encounter Christ and be formed as intentional disciples.

I would love to hear your Newman Center story. If this community has impacted your life, I invite you to reach out and share your story with me at advancement@stjpnc.org or 309-452-5046.  I hope to hear from you soon!
